A shining star of Cape Verde

With the opening of its international airport in 1948, Sal was the first to attract tourists and still remains the most popular of the Islands.

As a key part of the controlled development programme, the Island has seen billions of international investment into hotels, resorts, marinas, water parks and commercial centres. Paired with Government investment, Sal is set to become a modern world-class destination.

Today, there are regular scheduled flights to Sal’s established international airport direct from Birmingham, Gatwick, Manchester and Bristol as well as all over Europe and beyond.
